Last week, on a wild and windy night, our Under-16 Camogie team made history – becoming County Champions after a thrilling victory over Davidstown, with a final score of 2-7 to 3-3.

It was a fiercely contested game played in extremely tough conditions, but our girls showed incredible determination, battling for every ball and every challenge. They never gave up – and that spirit carried them over the line. It was a proud, emotional evening and one of the standout moments for the Harriers in recent years.

This is the club’s first underage camogie title since 2001, and it marks a significant milestone for the team and everyone involved in their journey. The coaches recognised four or five years ago that this group was something special. With the addition of more talented players over the years, they've continued to grow stronger together, showing the value of commitment, teamwork, and belief.

This team is particularly special as it represents the group that Sinéad and Helen helped reignite camogie within the club many years ago. For them to now see the girls crowned county champions is a moment of immense pride and fulfillment.

A huge well done to all the players and their coaches – your hard work and dedication have finally paid off. The future of Harriers Camogie is in safe hands.

And a big thank you to Niamh for capturing some fantastic photos on the night – memories that will last a lifetime!
